CoolHound Coat

During heat stress, acid concentration increases which can lead to loss of balance, seizures and brain damage.

CoolHound Coats have been developed to alleviate heat stress - after wetting, you are applying a cool techno fibre around your pet.

The aim is to prevent overheating.

Cold applications are not recommended for a heat stressed animal. E.g. cold hosing, cold bath. Cooling your pet as day temperature rises is more beneficial.

Use your CoolHound Coat at home, in the car and for those necessary walks.

CoolHound Coats can be effective for up to 3 hours.

In extreme conditions you should check your pet regularly.

CoolHound Coats comprise of three layers

Inner layer - has been given a water repellent treatment (WRT) so your hound will not be wet.

Middle layer - is the techno fibre which retains moisture, but allows evaporation to take place, which is how the core heat from your pet is dispelled.

Outer layer – durable nylon, prolonging the life of the coat.

CoolHound Coats have been designed to be reversed (black side on top) and used as a warm coat in winter. The WRT will keep the moisture out, while the techno fibre has warming qualities when dry. The soft finish coloured nylon is not harsh next to the fur.
