Welfare of Greyhounds

GSN is concerned with the welfare of all greyhounds and endeavours to be a voice for our silent companions. GSN has prepared submissions to government bodies to try and improve their lives - particularly for pet greyhounds.

  • GRV's (Greyhound Racing Victoria) 2016 Annual Report - Which includes a Welfare report stating that "In 2015-16, 3,012 greyhounds registered in Victoria were euthanased. GRV considers this figure completely unacceptable and is committed to ensuring Victorian greyhounds associated with the sport are re-homed."
GSN also hope that GRV will actively pursue its initiatives to reduce this euthanasia number.
